I Believe in Myself, and the Redemptive Purpose of My Life!
(Dave Grant)
What does this mean -- to YOU?
All comments are welcome, and all views respected, as long as offered in a spirit of goodwill and sincerety.

It all begins with Belief! Personal satisfaction, deep fulfillment, glowing success! Without Belief, there is no motive force to move forward! – Without belief, our desires remain as mere wishes and weak longings! – Apart from Belief, our lives take on a gray-shaded tone and our strength ebbs away! All things of note in this world have been accomplished through the Power of Belief. It is that which makes all things possible!
ReplyDeleteNow, to believe in one’s self, wholehearted-ly, is of greater value than any material possession. To believe one’s self to be of great worth, and significance, and importance is not to be arrogant, but rather to be humbly recognizing the Truth! You CAN, my friend, believe in yourself! – If you decide to, if you choose to, if you want to! Your right to be here is unquestionable, as you were sent here by a Power greater than yourself, or anyone else.
And if you can believe these things, then you can know the Purpose of your Life is Redemptive in nature. That is, whatever failings you may have experienced, whatever disappointments you may have endured, whatever mistakes you have made – ALL these things can be made to serve you and others in some way, somehow! And because all experiences are learning experiences, you can always become the better for having undergone them! This is where Redemption comes into play. Great good is may be derived from bad occurrences! Light may emerge out of darkness! A greater, richer, fuller Life may unfold out of a constricted and diminished and faithless one!
So, believe in yourself! – Life believed so much in you that you were sent into the world by It! The Power of Redemption resides within your soul! You can make countless things new in your sphere of influence. Make it happen! Act! Believe and Redeem! You will never regret having done so!

Hey Mark,
ReplyDeleteBelief is so powerful.
If you believe in yourself, you can tackle anything life.

Hi Mack, That's one powerful affirmation. A belief in yourself makes what everyone else thinks irrelevant.

Belief ,yes, is most important but it must then be followed by action!
ReplyDeleteRegret only the actions you haven't taken!
Good start on the blog!

Good stuff, Mack! I was reminded of your theme of believing in oneself this evening as I read C.S. Lewis' "The Problem of Pain." Lewis writes that "we are, not metaphorically, but in very truth, a Divine work of art, something that God is making, and therefore something with which he will not be satisfied until it has a certain character." Lewis goes on the compare God to an artist, who might not take much trouble "over a sketch made idly to amuse a child," but will "take endless trouble" over "the great picture of his life -- the work he loves." We are that great picture. As Bono sings in the song "Surrender," "it's not if I believe in Love, if Love believes in me."
